1.    past tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja sederhana untuk menunjukkan bahwa suatu kejadian terjadi di masa lampau.( A simple verb form to show an event in the past.)

·   Vina and I went to the Ragunan zoo three months ago

·   Did he come on time yesterday?

·   When I was a senior high school student, I always got up at 4 am to study.

·   I studied management for almost 4 years

·   I had already finished my breakfast when he picked me up.

2.    past continuous tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan bahwa suatu aksi sedang terjadi pada waktu tertentu di masa lampau. Aksi tersebut telah dimulai tapi belum selesai pada saat itu.( A verb form used to assert that an action is occurring at a certain time in the past. The action has started but not finished yet.)

·   I was shopping at this time yesterday.

·   What was she doing at 5 am this morning?

·   She was sleeping when you called her.

·   The door was knocked while I was studying.

·   My neighbor was always chasing stray cats off with his broom.

3.       Present perfect continuous adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan aksi yang telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lalu atau aksi telah dimulai di masa lalu dan terus berlanjut sampai sekarang.( Suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan aksi yang telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lalu atau aksi sudah dimulai di masa lalu dan terus berlanjut sampai sekarang.)

·         The construction labors are thirsty since they have been removing the scaffoldings.

·         Mandy feels full as she’s been eating a half of the tart.

·         I have been working with my computer all day, and now I want some delicious foods.

·         It has just been snowing in Japan.

·         I’ve been driving a car through the rain for an hour.

4.       Present perfect tense  adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu aksi atau situasi yang telah dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut sampai sekarang atau telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu tertentu di masa lalu namun efeknya masih berlanjut.( A verb form used to declare an action or situation that has been started in the past and still continues today or has been completed at a certain point in time in the past but the effect continues.)

·         I have read the book

·         Can you recommend the most delicious seafood restaurant in this town? Yes, I’ve visited all of them.

·         I have lived in Cilegon for 3 months.

·         The rain’s just stopped.

·         I haven’t lost a pound in two weeks.

5.       Past Perfect adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan bahwa suatu aksi telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lalu sebelum aksi lainnya terjadi.( A verb form used to indicate that an action has been completed at a point in the past before another action takes place)

·         My brother had slept

·         Had he eaten breafast before he went to work today?

·         Had you  left by the time they arrived?

·         How many times had Sony changed his mind before selling his car?

·         You had been helped so many times.

6.       Future tanse adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan bahwa suatu aksi terjadi dimasa depan, secara spontan atau terencana.( A verb form used to assert that an action occurs in the future, spontaneously or planned)

·         You will win

·         Wait a minute. I will change my clothes.

·         I will come if they invite me.

·         The dishes will be washed.

·         You will be shown something interesting.
